Mendelssohn – Hebrides Overture
Mozart – Clarinet Concerto
Mendelssohn – Symphony No. 3 (“Scottish”)

Mendelssohn’s magnificent Hebrides Overture, inspired by his travels in Scotland, conveys the shifting seas around “Fingal’s Cave” – and is an appropriate opening to a program that ends with the composer’s “Scottish” Symphony, which captures Scotland’s mists, legends and beautiful terrain. Also featured will be Mozart’s rich and varied Clarinet Concerto, performed here by the orchestra’s Principal Clarinetist Paul Votapek.
