Frank Langella, award-winning star of stage and screen, joins the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra for an unforgettable Opening Night kick-off to the Phil’s 2010-11 season. One of America’s most distinguished and versatile actors, Langella starred in the play and film versions of Frost/Nixon, winning the 2008 Tony Award as well as an Oscar nomination. He also starred in the play and film versions of Dracula, and won Tony Awards for Seascape and Fortune’s Fool. Most recently, he co-starred with Michael Douglas in the film Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. Known for his rich, dramatic voice, Langella will narrate Aaron Copland’s moving Lincoln Portrait and the classic Casey at the Bat. The orchestra will also perform some of your favorite works including Ferde Grofe’s colorful and evocative Grand Canyon Suite – and a few musical surprises.
