Docent Programs

The mission of the Naples Museum of Art Docent Program is to enable visitors to discover, enjoy and learn about the collections, exhibitions and architecture of the Museum. Through tours and outreach services, we seek to stimulate curiosity, meet the diverse needs of visitors and provide skills for lifelong learning.

Public tours are conducted Tuesday-Saturday, 11 a.m. & 2 p.m., and Sunday, 1 p.m., October through May for any museum visitor desiring a guided tour. During these tours, docents provide visitors with the highlights of our collections and traveling exhibitions. Additionally, the docents provide museum tours for school groups, scout troops, private adult groups and more.

In addition to the initial seven-month training period, there is ongoing training for the docents including special orientations of new exhibitions, exclusive workshops and lectures.  Being a docent is a rewarding way of sharing your love of the arts with your community.

If you are interested in becoming a docent, please call (239) 254-2620 for more information.

If you would like to schedule a private group tour with one or more of our docents, please call (239) 254-2620 .
