Family days
Family Days are a fun-filled way for the whole family to learn about art and culture. These free events occur twice each season and feature the exhibitions on display at the time. By combining musical performances, storytelling, hands-on projects and other activities with the exhibitions, children and adults alike will enjoy a day full of excitement and education.

Picasso for a Day!
May 10, 2008, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Admission is free for all ages and all activities and related programs are provided at no charge. The featured exhibition will be Pablo Picasso: Preoccupations and Passions.
Events of the Day
- Interactive Bilingual Storytelling
Carrie Sue Ayvar engages visitors of all ages in four sessions at 10:30, 11:30, 1:30 and 2:30.
- Face Painting and Temporary Tattoos
Artist Cori Scheft transforms museum visitors into walking works of art.
Jason Weber creates charcoal drawings of visitors.
Families will work together to follow clues to discover art treasures throughout the permanent collection. Along their journey they will gather small keepsakes and create a way to treasure these keepsakes.
Families can explore the adventurous style of Picasso through a variety of art projects designed to educate and inspire budding artists of all ages.
- Docent guided tours of the museum exhibitions at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
