Who have been your greatest musical influences? My violin teachers along the way who have all taught me so much about music and life.

Who are your favorite composers? Beethoven, Brahms.

What career path would you have taken had you not chosen music? Probably something involving writing or psychology. Perhaps teaching – my entire family are teachers!

What's currently playing on your iPod or CD player? Everything from Bach to Radiohead.

Your hobbies and interests: My adorable cat Andy, food (eating it, cooking it and watching the Food Network) and laughing a lot with good friends.

Some little-known, yet interesting facts about you: I'm a left-handed Canadian who loves Florida.

Daily practice rituals: My cat Andy jumping in my case as soon as I unpack my instrument and occasionally "singing" along.
