All charitable gifts are planned to some extent, but the term “planned giving” suggests that a gift is carefully considered as part of an overall financial and estate plan. We hope that you will make the appropriate arrangements with your accountant, attorney or other advisor, and let us know the details of your planned gift. By incorporating the Philharmonic Center into your planning, you will enjoy all of the benefits of your gift throughout your lifetime.
Charitable Remainder Trusts
Charitable Remainder Trusts (CRT’s) are gift arrangements that enable donors to contribute to the Philharmonic Center for the Arts while providing financial support for themselves or others. A flexible gift instrument, a CRT enables donors to:
- claim a charitable tax deduction in the year the gift is made
- provide an income stream for themselves or others
- remove those assets from their taxable estates, and ultimately leave a significant gift to charity
- avoid capital gains taxes on appreciated assets donated to the trust
Bequests
By including the Philharmonic Center for the Arts in your will, you can associate yourself forever with this institution and ensure that it enriches lives for generations to come. You may make a request to the Philharmonic Center by preparing a new will or by adding a codicil to your present will. This is generally done with the advice of your attorney.
